The Women’s Bakery was recently mentioned in an article by Supermarket Perimeter about global ingredient supplier Corbion. At the International Baking Industry Exposition in Las Vegas, Corbion pledged $5 for every IBIE attendee that came to the their booth and scanned their badge. Commercial Baking recently wrote about how BEMA member organizations raised about $25,000.00 for The Women’s Bakery at their 2021 convention. The article shares how all the proceeds from the 2021 BEMA Convention will support The One Bread Project, TWB’s school feeding program in Rwanda.

At this year’s BEMA convention, Tim Cook, the new 2021 BEMA chairman orchestrated a fundraiser to help raise money for The Women’s Bakery. This fundraiser which took place at the Chairman’s Dinner, raised pledges from BEMA member organizations and attendees totaling over $25,0000. These funds will go towards the One Bread Project, The Women’s Bakery school feeding program in Rwanda. Read more about the event here.

TWB RISE at Texas A&M is the first university chapter affiliated with The Women’s Bakery to help spread awareness about our mission in the U.S. TWB RISE has been involved with fundraising for The Women’s Bakery, as well as making strides in empowering women and sparking social change in their community.
